Recipe: Snowmen cookies

To make the cookies:

Ingredients:

• 1.5 cups of butter
• 2 cups white sugar
• 4 eggs
• 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
• 5 cups of all purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons of baking powder
• 1 teaspoon of salt

Directions:

• in a bowl mix together butter and sugar until smooth
• beat in eggs and vanilla
• stir in flour, baking powder, and salt
• Cover and chill for an hour
• Preheat oven to 400 degrees
• roll out dough on a floured surface about 1/4-1/2 inch thick
• Use a larger mouth cup to get the round shape
• Place cookies on a cookie sheet about an inch apart
• Bake for 8-10 minutes
• Allow to cool completely

To Decorate:

Ingredients:

• normal sized Marshmallows
• 1-2 cups of white chocolate Chips
• Icing pens
• Life Savers
• Sprinkles for the dots (So pick the sprinkles accordingly)
• Sour patch kids(cut in half)

Directions:
For the marshmellow snowmen:

• On a microwave safe plate heath up marshmellows
• You will want to watch these because once they start to expand you will want to stop the microwave. Here is a site for other ways to melt chocolate
• In a bowl you can microwave the chocolate chips. You want to watch and constantly stir these so they do not burn.
• Once the white chocolate is perfectly melted you will want to take a spoon full and spread it on the cookie allowing some to drip off
• Place a warm marshmellow in the chocolate
• Place the buttons on the chocolate 
• Allow to cool completly before decorating the rest of the snowmen with the icing pens

For the ear muffed snowmen face

• In a bowl you can microwave the chocolate chips. You want to watch and constantly stir these so they do not burn.Here is a site for other ways to melt chocolate
• Once the white chocolate is perfectly melted you will want to take a spoon full and spread it on the cookie
• Place the eyes, nose, and ear muffs on the melted chocolate
• Allow cookie to completly cool before decorating with the icing pens.
