Recipe- Potato and Cheese Pierogies









I love making these!!! :)


Ingredients- 

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 Large Potatoes
  • 8 Ounces of Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Directions-
Mix flour, water, egg, and salt together.  Knead on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Cover dough with a bowl and let rest for 30 minutes.
Boil Potatoes until soft. Drain the water and rinse.  Add cheese.  Let stand until cheese melts. 
Roll out dough about 1/8 inch thick.  
Cut three inch squares
Fill each square with one teaspoon of the filling.  
Fold in half and pinch ends together to seal.  
Boil 

How I cook my pierogies-
In a frying pan melt butter
Put four perogies in the pan
Flip them over and season with adobo
Flip them back over and season again
Cook until slight brown (or a little longer) 
repeat until desired number of perogies have been cooked.
