Craft- Carving Pumpkins

Well this is my first craft entry because I haven't really had time to craft.

So last weekend we picked pumpkins. The two older boys carved and the two younger girls painted.

  1. Pick a decent size pumpkin.
  2. Cut around the stem
  3. Gut it
  4. I usually pick the side that I want to carve (Usually the flattest pointing up) And file the inside of that one down.
  5. Next the boys picked out the design they wanted on the computer.  Because we couldnt change the size for printing we cut them out and pinned them to the pumpkins.
  6. Next we cut it out
  7. Then we filled a tub up with a mixture of bleach and water and put the pumpkins in it.  This helps the pumpkins last- We did this over night.
  8. Put the pumpkins outside (ours are on the front steps)
  9. Place the candle inside
  10. Wait for night and light
Here are some picture of my experience.
